Prof. Philip is a University Professor — Hospital Practitioner at the University of Bordeaux and University Hospital of Bordeaux.
He is in charge of the University Department of Sleep Medicine (University Hospital of Bordeaux) and manages the Digital Health axis of the Joint Research Unit SANPSY “Sleep, Addiction and NeuroPSYchiatry” (CNRS UMR 6033). He has a long experience in clinical research and was a medical coordinator for the Research Clinic at University Hospital of Bordeaux (2012-2016). He is also the director of the Platform of Neuro-Psychopharmacologic Research, certified by IBISA and the University of Bordeaux, and coordinated the EquipEx PHENOVIRTprogram (PIA) dedicated to simulation, virtual reality and to the phenotypes (?) of sleep and psychiatric disorders.
Prof. Philip is the author of more than 200 articles, published in international journals, and conducted many clinical trials nationally and internationally. He was also in charge of a European program, ERANET on drowsy driving. Currently, he coordinates the University Hospital Federation TALISMENT and the Sleep Research Group (GDR 3737).
